Exploring on my Own

"If you don't get lost, there's a chance you may never be found."

Unknown

This last day in Panama City, I join a group (find a hop on and hop off bus at a very large mall/bus station) and then leave them after first stop and complete tour on my own.
By Panama Canal-- decided I had seen it last time...

The Industrial Side of the City

Not everyone lives in luxury

I hop off in Casco Veijo and wander on my own. I revel in exploring alone after these last 16 days of choosing to immerse myself in a group experience.

Back to Cafe Sucre where I sat for a coffee on my last visit. This experience is equally fine.

Walking home- the Sun! finally comes out and even I am very very warm

The tallest one is Terry and Cindy's future home.

A Bike- this one is for me!

In the evening, the diarrhea is back but I elect for one more group experience- to lean into the unknown.  We taxi this time to Casco Veijo as it is pouring again. Diablo. Great fun. So glad I elected to go. The rice works wonders and the next day of traveling not one episode of an erratic digestive system. :-)

I have experienced leaning into the wind/ the unknown and being supported by the universe.

Bye Central America. We shall meet again.

Panama City Bike Tour- Last Day of Tour

"Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened." Dr. Seuss

On our last day, we bike along the marvelous bike trail leading to and from and around Casco Veijo. The rain holds off until we arrive back at the bike company. Yippee!

Great Bikes

In the evening, we walk to Casco Veijo and take in the tapas at Tantalo. This is a restaurant I would never gone to on my own but the decor, service and food are super. After the meal, we move up to the rooftop bar with a view over the city. We can't see much as it is dark now but it is a cheerful :-) spot.

Bouguet to Panama City

“Not all those who wander are lost.”  J. R. R. Tolkien

We leave the peaceful fresh air of Bouquet for the busy humid air of Panama City. A whole day of travel passes agreeably. Today, I read the book Kate has passed on to me: Me Before You

I have my own room again- first thing I do to be sure is turn off the air conditioning. Yes! Bring on the humidity. Of course, it is still raining... Oh! Otto!

Not daunted by the torrent, we walk from the hotel Centroamericano to Casco Veijo. We elect to sit outside under umbrellas at Casablanca

Hotel Centroamericano

Walk to Old City (Casco Veijo)

Hotel Tantalo- tomorrow's supper venue

Casablanca- the same restaurant I stumbled on with Woz 2 years ago!

Waiters all run with umbrellas (Janette)

We are in the read area and the Old City in the yellow area ( Terry and Cindy's condo is less than two blocks from Centroamericano - the talkiest building in this area. I use it to relocate  when I get turned around once.:-)
